Purebred LaMancha, S: CH Celtic-Knot TT Gold Talisman *B D: Udder Lee Irish Angel
Taking GCH over his father at 3 months of age, P was hard to beat in the show ring. He's taken 1st place and GCH nearly every time out, and finished his hard-earned permanent championship as a yearling. As a yearling, he took BBIS at ODGA's Buckeye Classic (state) show over older bucks, including one of the nicest and definitely the biggest Alpine bucks I've ever seen! His littermate sister, Jelly, was the 2004 Reserve All American LaMancha, 1st place 2 year old/1st place udder at the 2005 Ohio State Fair, and finished her permanent championship as a 2nd freshening 3 year old in 2006. His dam had two legs toward her permanent championship (we lost her before the show season of 2007), and his yearling first freshener daughter was third in her class with 1st udder at the 2005 Ohio State Fair, and has one leg and several RGCH's to her credit as well. As a 2 year old, P won 4 of his 6 champion challenges and took Best Buck in Show in ring one of the 2005 ODGA Buckeye Classic show, as well as 1st place LaMancha buck in the ODGA Futurity. P has been out 1x in 2007, and was 1x BOB and 1x BBIS. P was collected, and semen is available through us. Limited boarding and stud service is also available.

I've long coveted the Lucky*Star herd, owned by Don & Judy Hoy in Washington state. I'd pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I'd have to start saving my bucks (pun intended LOL) and talked to Judy about reserving a 2007 buck kid. I'd narrowed my choices down to a short list when a post came through LaMancha talk that there was a 2 year old Lucky Star buck for sale in Indiana. I'd seen this buck's kids in the show ring in the fall of '06 and was impressed enough to approach their owners and congratulate them on breeding such beautiful does. I was thrilled, to say the least, that the buck for sale was the sire of these does. And, with him being 2 (and therefore there was no risk of him not being born :)) and had daughters on the ground (so I knew he was fertile) it was a done deal. Needless to say, I'm overjoyed to be introducing these genetics into my LaMancha herd.

I have coveted Notorius' dam, Nikki, since I first saw her at the National show in 6. There, she was the 1st place yearling milker / 1st place udder. In 07 she went on to take 2nd place / 3rd udder at the Nationals in Wyoming, and 3rd place / 3rd udder at the Nationals in Indiana. I was thrilled when I saw her in Kentucky this year - this doe just reeks of dairy character, and is, as her owner/breeder Aaron Carter puts it, "the type of doe that I have been trying to breed for!"
Though Nikki is the reason I was eager to use this buck, there is a LOT to be said for the rest of his pedigree as well. Her sire is SGCH +B Willow Run Chalupa Bjorn (92 EEE, elite sire), out of SG +*B Hogg's-Hideaway Chalupa and SGCH Singing-Hills PFM Britta (91 EEEE, National reserve best udder in 2004, whose dam, Brittny was National Best Udder in 2002). Nikki's dam is SGCH Heart-Mt.-Carter-Kids Marrisa 2*M (90 VEEE). Jam packed full of genetics on his sire's side, too, Notorius' sire, Sudan is out of SGCH +B Willow Run Chalupa Bjorn (92 EEE, elite sire) and SGCH Willow Run Nostra Sumatra 3*M (92 EEEE), daughter of SG +*B Oak-Knoll-Dairy HM Nostradamus and SGCH Willow Run GC Surata 2*M, Reserve National Champion in 2002, National Champion in 2003 and 2004.Last but CERTAINLY not least, a HUGE thank you to Mark Stevens from Pine Springs for allowing me to use this beautiful guy. Love you, punkin'.

I wanted a Junior herdsire this year and I couldn't be happier with the one I ended up with! Timmy "blessed" me with 15 bucks, with each one just as nice as the next. When deciding which to keep for my own use, though, this April buck kid out of Jelly was a no-brainer. Josh drips dairy character, with wide, open ribbing, excellent angularity throughout and beautiful width in the rear. I knew I liked this kid a lot, but when I got him out to take pictures and really got my hands on him, I couldn't have been more pleased!
