Taking GCH over his father at 3 months of age, P was hard to beat
in the show ring. He's taken 1st place and GCH nearly every time out, and
finished his hard-earned permanent championship as a yearling. As a
yearling, he took BBIS at ODGA's Buckeye Classic (state) show over older
bucks, including one of the nicest and definitely the biggest Alpine bucks
I've ever seen! His littermate sister, Jelly, was the 2004 Reserve All
American LaMancha, 1st place 2 year old/1st place udder at the 2005 Ohio
State Fair, and finished her permanent championship as a 2nd freshening 3
year old in 2006. His dam had two legs toward her permanent championship (we lost her before the show season of 2007),
and his yearling first freshener daughter was third in her class with 1st
udder at the 2005 Ohio State Fair, and has one leg and several RGCH's to
her credit as well. As a 2 year old, P won 4 of his 6 champion challenges
and took Best Buck in Show in ring one of the 2005 ODGA Buckeye Classic
show, as well as 1st place LaMancha buck in the ODGA Futurity. P has been out 1x in 2007, and was 1x BOB and 1x BBIS. P was
collected, and semen is available through us. Limited boarding and stud
service is also available. |

I've long coveted the Lucky*Star herd, owned by Don & Judy Hoy
in Washington state. I'd pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I'd
have to start saving my bucks (pun intended LOL) and talked to Judy about
reserving a 2007 buck kid. I'd narrowed my choices down to a short list
when a post came through LaMancha talk that there was a 2 year old Lucky
Star buck for sale in Indiana. I'd seen this buck's kids in the show ring
in the fall of '06 and was impressed enough to approach their owners and
congratulate them on breeding such beautiful does. I was thrilled, to say
the least, that the buck for sale was the sire of these does. And, with
him being 2 (and therefore there was no risk of him not being born :)) and
had daughters on the ground (so I knew he was fertile) it was a done deal.
Needless to say, I'm overjoyed to be
introducing these genetics into my LaMancha herd.
